1. Who we are

WiseMortgages operates this website. The person responsible for the protection of personal information can be reached at info@wisemortgages.ca.

2. Information collected

When you request a follow-up, we collect your first and last name, email address, phone number, and the date and time of your contact consent. Our hosting provider may also process ordinary technical and security information such as IP address, browser type, timestamps and spam-detection signals.

The form uses Google reCAPTCHA to distinguish human visitors from automated submissions. Google may process device, browser, IP-address and interaction signals for this security purpose under its Privacy Policy and Terms.

The educational calculator runs in your browser. Its input values are not included in the contact form.

If you arrive through a campaign link, the initial form records limited attribution fields such as the campaign source, medium, campaign name, landing page and referring domain. These fields do not include the personal values entered into the calculator.

3. How we use it

We use your information to respond to your request, record consent, understand which campaign produced a submitted request, operate and protect the website, answer privacy questions, and meet legal or record-keeping obligations. Submitting the form does not subscribe you to promotional email.

4. Initial form versus a later referral

The initial form authorizes WiseMortgages to contact you. It does not authorize WiseMortgages to share your information with a mortgage professional.

If you later request an introduction, WiseMortgages will first identify the proposed licensed recipient, explain the relationship and disclose that the recipient’s authorized brokerage may pay WiseMortgages a fixed marketing or referral fee that is not tied to mortgage approval, funding, amount, rate or terms. We will then request separate written consent specifying which contact information may be shared. Only information covered by that separate consent will be provided.

5. Cookies, local storage and analytics

Essential storage is used for site security, spam prevention, form operation and to remember your privacy choice. Google reCAPTCHA operates as a necessary security service.

Google Analytics is disabled by default and is loaded only after you enable Analytics in the privacy settings or choose “Accept all.” When enabled, it may use first-party cookies to measure page visits, general device and browser information, approximate location, campaign attribution and successful information-request submissions. WiseMortgages does not send names, email addresses, telephone numbers, form-field values or calculator inputs to Google Analytics. Google signals and advertising personalization are disabled.

The Meta Pixel is also disabled by default and is loaded only after you enable Meta measurement or choose “Accept all.” When enabled, it measures page visits, including visits from Facebook and Instagram, and successful information-request submissions. WiseMortgages does not send names, email addresses, telephone numbers, form-field values or calculator inputs to Meta through the Pixel.

You can accept, refuse or later withdraw Analytics and Meta measurement independently using the “Cookie settings” control displayed on the Website. Withdrawing permission disables future optional measurement and removes accessible Google Analytics or Meta cookies from this site.

6. Service providers and legal requirements

Website hosting, form-processing and anti-spam providers, including Netlify and Google reCAPTCHA, may process information for us under appropriate safeguards. We may also disclose information when required by law or reasonably necessary to protect the website, our users or legal rights.

7. Storage and retention

Information may be processed in Canada or other countries where service providers operate and may be subject to local laws. We generally retain inquiry and consent records for up to 24 months unless a longer period is reasonably required by law or to establish compliance.

8. Your choices

You may ask to access or correct your personal information, withdraw consent to future contact or sharing, or request deletion subject to legal retention requirements. Contact info@wisemortgages.ca.

9. Security and policy changes

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online system is perfectly secure. We may update this policy and will post the revised date here.
